Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. Her most well-known character was as Skyler on AMC's drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Performance in Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. She was Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant at Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio and she continued her love of the theatre. Theatre studies took place through Northwestern University. A semester was spent at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was working by the theater in the Chicago area for a few years, before attempting her luck in TV as well as film roles. Anna got her first major part in the role of Arden as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. As a guest-star, Anna appeared in Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. Then it was only in the latter part of 1990 when she was cast in an acting role on The Practice. She starred as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons throughout the decade of 2000. In 2008, she was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully in addition to Deadwood was another film she starred in. Gunn also took to the stage in a David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes The Numbered Days series, which released in 2022. The romance that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the plot of Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and the eventual end of their relationship mirroring the same arc of Walter White's last years of life.
